The
trail system at Outlaw is fairly simple to understand
once you know the facts.
Trail Head (where the trails start)
Once you go through the gate that separates the
campground from the MX track if you look to your left
against the tree line you will see a wooden arch/gate.
This gate is the entrance to the trail system and is
clearly marked. Big Thanks to Boo, and Keith for
building that for us.
Arrows
Red Arrows
The Red Loop denotes the main loop
which is about 20 miles long and has a few areas that
could be considered expert only sections.
Blue Arrows
The Blue Loop is for the less
experienced rider and is about 8 miles long. Everyone
should be able to ride the blue loop with little
problem. Most of the Blue Loop is ATV friendly as
well.
Split Trail
If you come to a section that has arrows going in two
different directions this is a place where the trail
splits. You can ride either direction and you will
remain on the loop without missing any trail. We
split the trail in a couple places to save older
trails as well as to give us a little variety. One
thing to remember is if your group gets spread out
far enough that some might take the other split be
sure and wait for them at the next stop to ensure
everyone is accounted for.
One Way Trails
Both the Red and Blue Loops at Outlaw Trax are One
Way traffic. If you are on a trail and do not see an
arrow of any kind for more than a few hundred yards
you may be going in the wrong direction and need to
turn around. It is very dangerous for anyone to ride
in the wrong direction since most riders know we have
One Way trails and are not looking for people coming
from the other direction.
